Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a professional truck driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers while supporting the selling process. The starting pay is $33.63 per hour and ranges up to $38.94/hr, with additional linehaul mileage pay if applicable.

Position requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tank endorsements, DOT-compliant MVR, and the ability to lift up to 100 lb. The role offers health benefits and a 401(k) plan with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year of recent driving experience or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR according to hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regs 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles or triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight with appropriate equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps and rope.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
• Demonstrate customer service and solicit additional business.
