Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a skilled driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers while supporting the selling process. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure freight, and communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualified candidates hold a Class A CDL with endorsements, have a solid MVR, meet DOT requirements, and can lift up to 100 pounds. This role may require occasional dock work and roadside flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with required endorsements.
• One year of recent driving experience or completion of FedEx program.
• Must have acceptable MVR per standards and DOT regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Basic math and documentation/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and perform pre-trip safety inspections.
• Deliver freight between service centers and customers and solicit new business.
• Secure freight in trailers and assist with dock operations as needed.
• Maintain documentation, follow dispatch instructions and DOT rules.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding pickups and delays.
• Support sales by providing leads and handling additional business opportunities.
