Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a skilled CDL‑A driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will support the selling process and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining safety standards.

This role requires a valid hazmat/tank endorsed CDL‑A, 1 year of relevant driving experience or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds as needed. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year experience within the last 3 years or successful FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• MVR meets hiring standards and DOT regulatory requirements.
• Long combination vehicle experience required in specified states and LC V qualification standards.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with clear documentation and communication.
• Lift up to 100 pounds several times a week; able to sit, bend, twist, and climb in/out of trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer or straight trucks for pick up and delivery between Service Centers and customers.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps and rope.
• Assist with dispatch communications and customer interactions for pickups and deliveries.
• Demonstrate customer service and assist sales with potential opportunities.
