Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. in Maryland is seeking a professional CDL Class A truck driver to join our team. You will deliver freight across the region, secure loads with straps (no tarping), and communicate any issues to customers while maintaining accurate delivery records.

You must be 21+, have at least 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, a clean safety record, and be able to work in all weather. We offer a stable schedule, life insurance, a 401(k), PTO, and modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean DMV record.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in past 3 years.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
