Job summary

Wheatland Bank is seeking a Loan Quality Control Specialist to ensure accuracy in loan servicing and adherence to bank policies, SOX and regulatory standards. You will train staff and assist with post-boarding quality checks while maintaining high customer service for internal and external clients.

The role emphasizes error detection, process improvements, and collaboration with the Loan Operations Director to uphold compliance and efficiency across daily loan operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Loan Servicing position.
• High school diploma required.
• Able to work independently, quickly and accurately.
• Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to correct errors.
• Ability to train others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related tools.
• Broad knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review daily new loans within 10 business days per SOX LN2a and related procedures.
• Provide training to Loan Servicing staff on errors found in reports.
• Coordinate with the Training Department on staff training for payments and loans.
• Review all daily reports timely according to policies.
• Input and monitor force-placed insurance.
• Process payments for PCBB loans.
• Monitor loan reporting and boarding processes.
• Manage tax tracking in the bank system.
