Job summary

United Community Bank is seeking a Quality Control Specialist I to review loan operations, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and support reporting and training documentation. You will identify gaps, document findings, and help maintain up-to-date process materials.

The role requires an associates degree in a related field, at least one year in quality control or QA, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of one year in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or related role.
• Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QC reviews across loan operations including origination, underwriting, and processing.
• Test and evaluate process effectiveness by reviewing docs, data, and samples.
• Identify errors and weaknesses; document findings and recommendations.
• Prepare daily and weekly QC reporting and maintain process documentation.
• Address credit reporting disputes and updates to agencies.
• Meet SLAs and manage multiple priorities with professionalism.
