First Independence Bank is seeking a Loan Operations Specialist to service the bank's loan portfolio and follow lending policies. This role handles routine loan maintenance, payments, payoffs, and escrow updates while providing support across departments.

Requirements include a high school diploma (some college preferred) and 1–3 years in Retail Banking or Loan Servicing, with strong computer skills and meticulous data handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, Adobe, and E-Mail.
• Banking or credit union experience required.
• 1-3 years of Retail Banking or Loan Servicing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loan file maintenance and servicing of all loan types on the Bank’s core system.
• Review data input for accuracy and completeness.
• Process daily functions of all loan records, including loan payments, statement rendering, escrow check rendering.
• Adhere to Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations.
• Relate to customers and coworkers in a positive atmosphere of mutual respect.
• Provide exception customer care (internal and external).
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer and employee information.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and produce accurate, high-quality work.
• Assist other departments and co-workers as needed.
