Job summary

The Loan Administrator at Mni Sota Fund manages consumer and business loan services, overseeing underwriting, closing, servicing and collections to deploy capital responsibly and support Indigenous economic empowerment in Minnesota. Working with the Chief Lending Officer and Programs and Operations teams, you will maintain accurate databases and enforce loan policies while upholding community values.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of loan processing or underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of credit analysis, loan documentation, and collections.
• Experience with lending software (Lenderfit, DownHome, Presta).
• Commitment to Native communities and culturally responsive financial coaching or counseling principles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to guide diverse borrowers empathetically.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Guide borrowers from initial inquiry to final repayment for personal and business loans.
• Gather underwriting materials and perform credit checks; assess finances and employment status.
• Determine loan options and provide thorough overviews of terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with financial coaching staff to move borrowers through the pre-approval process.
• Close each loan with appropriate documents; file liens and disburse funds.
• Service monthly loan payments and support borrowers who miss payments; maintain files in databases.
