Native American Bank is a values-driven community bank focused on empowering Native communities through affordable lending and financial education. The Consumer Lender role supports expanding the consumer lending portfolio while upholding cultural sensitivities and the bank's mission.

The ideal candidate will evaluate loan applications, perform credit analysis, and collaborate with branches to deliver tailored lending solutions and strong customer service in the Tulalip, WA area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer lending.
• 3–5 years of bank branch experience preferred.
• Experience with Native American communities and tribal financial practices is desirable.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• HUD-184 knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process consumer loan applications (mortgage, personal, auto).
• Conduct credit assessments using financial statements and credit reports.
• Develop lending solutions aligned with client needs and goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide excellent service and tailored lending solutions to clients.
• Build relationships with community members and tribal entities.
• Offer financial education and guidance on debt management.
• Represent the bank at community events and engage with tribal leaders.
• Collaborate with branches to support community outreach and financial literacy programs.
• Oversee daily lending operations including processing, approval, and servicing.
• Ensure accurate documentation and records for all loans.
• Monitor loan performance and delinquency management.
• Stay current on lending regulations and industry trends.
• Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, tribal regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management.
• Analyze loan data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
