Job summary

Native American Bank is seeking a Consumer Lender to manage and grow a lending portfolio that serves Native communities with cultural sensitivity and mission alignment. The role emphasizes underwriting, collaboration with branch operations, and engagement with tribal leaders to promote lending programs.

The position requires a strong background in consumer lending, with 5+ years of experience, and a commitment to providing financial education and excellent client service within a 45-mile radius

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer lending and underwriting.
• 3–5 years in a bank branch environment with teamwork focus.
• Experience working with Native American communities and tribal practices is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process consumer loan applications including mortgage, personal, and auto loans.
• Conduct credit assessments by analyzing financial statements and credit reports.
• Develop lending solutions aligned with clients’ financial needs and goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
• Provide tailored lending guidance and exceptional client service.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members and tribal entities.
• Oversee daily consumer lending operations including processing and servicing.
• Monitor loan performance and manage delinquency and collections as needed.
• Prepare reports on lending activities and portfolio trends.
