Job summary

SRM Concrete, a family-owned leader in the ready mix industry, is looking for a Loader Operator in Abilene, TX. Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement, supporting plant operations and keeping concrete flowing.

You'll load and unload trucks, inspect equipment, follow safety rules, and work with teammates to meet production schedules. Valid driver's license, willingness to learn, and ability to perform pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or other large equipment is a plus; training provided if needed.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Safety-conscious and communicates clearly with the team.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.
• Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement and keep plants running smoothly.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to ensure material availability.
• Work with crew to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
• Inspect equipment before and after shifts and report issues for prompt fixes.
• Follow all safety rules and wear PPE; keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory counting and material restocking as needed.
• Contribute ideas to plant leaders to improve safety and efficiency.
