Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Materials Lead to guide material development, characterization, and integration for air vehicle programs. You will work with cross-functional teams to apply advanced signature control techniques across deliverables, and you will mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in LO/Radar materials, plus strong collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in Low Observables or Radar materials.
Experience with material characterization, testing/prediction, and design integration.
Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

Material and process development and integration in support of Raytheon product lines.
Material performance predictions and measurement tests on developmental and production systems.
Perform material measurements and generate predicted material performance using CEM tools.
Work in integrated product teams to incorporate signature control techniques into deliverables.
Material formulation and development; fabrication process development; composites operations support.
Material testing and characterization (RF, mechanical, physical); preparation of engineering documentation.
Customer and supplier interface; participate in program reviews; project management.
