Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks an experienced Materials Lead with a strong background in LO/radar materials to join our onsite team. You will drive material development and integration, work with cross‑functional engineers, and mentor early career staff while delivering advanced signature control solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with customers and suppliers, rigorous testing and documentation, and leadership of project activities within integrated product teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and 10+ years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years.
• Experience in Low Observables or Radar materials.
• Experience with material characterization, testing/prediction, and integration on air vehicles.
• Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead material and process development and integration across Raytheon product lines.
• Perform material measurements and predict performance using CEM tools.
• Work in integrated product teams to apply signature control techniques.
• Conduct material formulation, development and fabrication process development.
• Support composites operations and material testing (RF, mechanical, physical).
• Prepare engineering documentation and coordinate with customers and suppliers.
