Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an onsite Materials Lead with a STEM background and 5+ years of experience in radar/LO materials. You will drive material development, validation, and integration across product lines, performing measurements, modeling, and collaboration with customers and suppliers.

The role requires strong leadership in integrated product teams, with emphasis on material characterization, testing, and design integration, including program reviews and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in Low Observables or Radar materials.
• Experience with material characterization, testing or prediction.
• Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead material and process development and integration across Raytheon product lines.
• Conduct material performance predictions and measurements for developmental and production systems.
• Perform material measurements for constitutive and RF attenuation properties; generate predictions with CEM tools.
• Collaborate in integrated product teams to apply signature control techniques.
• Develop materials formulations and fabrication processes; support composites operations.
• Prepare engineering documentation and interface with customers and suppliers.
