Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Startup Specialist to support the Louisiana LNG project in Lake Charles, LA. You will provide knowledge and consultative support for discipline- or process-specific commissioning activities, enabling safe startup and turnover.

The role involves work planning, packaging, material management, quality control, and ES&H adherence, with a strong emphasis on coordination with field teams and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Leads startup support duties including installation configuration validation and work package development.
• Plans and schedules CSU execution activities including sequence and resource requirements.
• Prepares Startup Work Packages and Test Work Packages for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Participates in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns and interfaces with the Field Engineer as required.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases and tracks field purchases.
• Performs walkdowns to validate system configuration and ensure conformance with design and safety.
• Identifies and resolves ES&H issues in the field.
