Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a field engineering specialist to support LNG plant projects on the US Gulf Coast. You will handle work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, and subcontract coordination on complex energy construction sites.

The role requires mobility across multiple Bechtel locations with a strong emphasis on collaboration, problem-solving under pressure, and adherence to project Bechtel standards and BSAPs.

Qualifications

• Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a field construction environment with specifications, vendor procedures, instructions, & codes.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction.
• Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other common construction apps.
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards; experience managing technical services subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems and related databases.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy and safety/quality requirements are followed on site.
• Proactively pursues continuous learning and development.
• Develops understanding of system scope and drawings for package development.
• Reviews inspection test plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals.
