Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Lake Charles, LA seeks a Project Field Engineer to provide field engineering specialization, assist with work planning and packaging, and manage material verification to support LNG facilities.

You will ensure safety, quality, and compliance while coordinating with subcontractors, inspections, and turnover activities; you will contribute to delivering high‑quality, on‑time project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
• Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
• Reviews and approves inspection test plans, coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.
