Job summary

College of the Albemarle seeks an LMS Administrator to lead administration, configuration, and optimization of the College's LMS and instructional technologies. This on-site role supports teaching, learning, compliance, and operations across campus.

The position collaborates with IT, Academic Affairs, Continuing Education, and LMS vendors to ensure seamless integrations, accessibility, and continuous improvement. A Bachelor's degree and 3 years' LMS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Educational Technology or related field, or equivalent combo.
• Three (3) years of experience administering enterprise LMS or similar software.
• Experience supporting instructional technologies in higher education.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with minimal supervision.
• Experience producing written technical documentation, SOPs, or user-facing materials.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize the College's LMS and related instructional technology systems.
• Manage system settings, user permissions, course lifecycle processes, software updates, and system maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot LMS issues; document resolutions.
• Provide advanced technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students.
• Develop reports and ensure regulatory compliance with FERPA and college requirements.
