Job summary

Alamance-Burlington School System is seeking a Systems Application Administrator to join the Technology Department in Burlington, NC. This role focuses on administering complex applications, maintaining LMS systems, and ensuring high availability for critical school systems.

The position requires advanced troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams. Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours weekly, with an exempt status under the tech group.

Qualifications

• Education/experience in technology with 1–2 years of hands-on IT exposure.
• Knowledge of large-scale application systems and LMS experience preferred.
• Experience with network proxies, content filters, and connectivity issues.

Responsibilities

• Test, debug, implement, and support applications for programs.
• Set up administrator and user accounts and manage access.
• Interact with users, evaluate vendor products, and maintain availability.
• Develop automation and maintain system documentation, RCA if needed.
• Coordinate with development teams and vendors to tune performance.
• Provide Level 2/3 support and remote assistance when urgent.
