Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking an experienced technical operator to lead live testing, deployment, and validation of autonomous technologies that integrate into last-mile logistics. You will work at the intersection of engineering and operations, ensuring safe deployment and thorough evaluation to translate findings into engineering feedback.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in autonomous vehicle, robotics, or complex systems testing in a live environment.
• Ability to exercise sound technical judgment and troubleshoot complex system behavior.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to investigate issues and influence product improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication to document findings and present recommendations.
• Experience using Linux, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins to investigate issues and track work.
• Demonstrated ownership, leadership, and mentoring abilities for junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee live testing across transport, deployment, and safety validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and operations teams to validate new product capabilities and mentor juniors.
• Conduct and document complex tests, evaluate robot behavior, identify issues, and provide actionable feedback to engineering.
• Develop and implement testing processes, protocols, and checklists to improve safety and reliability.
• Analyze logs with internal tools, document findings, and track issues to resolution; mentor others in debugging.
• Prepare detailed analyses and reports highlighting trends and strategic recommendations for partners.
