Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Senior Reliability & Test Engineer to join our unmanned platform team. You will design and implement robust validation strategies, build test fixtures, and automate tests with Python to uncover failures before field deployment.

You’ll work across EE, ME, and Autonomy groups to ensure reliable hardware and software integration, including FMEA/FTA and FRACAS investigations. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership in

Qualifications

Five+ years in reliability validation or hardware testing for robotics or unmanned platforms.
Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering.
Proficiency with environmental chambers, vibration tables, and DAQ systems; CAD and shop tools.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement validation strategies; develop test fixtures and hardware rigs with Python automation.
Oversee experiments across facilities and labs; manage vibration tables, environmental chambers, DAQ systems, and IP testing.
Translate vehicle reliability requirements into metrics for mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems; lead FMEA/FTA sessions.
Lead FRACAS investigations to drive design iterations that prevent field issues.
Collaborate with autonomy and engineering teams to validate sensor performance, software reliability, and HIL environments.
