Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Pick & Prep associate to engage guests through product preparation and sampling, while delivering superior service and local product storytelling. You will operate the Pick & Prep area, maintain standards for quality, sanitation, and safety, and support merchandising and guest interactions throughout the department.

The role emphasizes friendly communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift required weights while using scales and computers for daily tasks.

• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information/direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and knife skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and sell to guests.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.
• Ability to use computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service and tell stories about products (Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, Local).
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the department.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
