Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety protocols in a high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in position requires thriving under pressure with a minimum 6-day/70-hour week and a passion for scratch cooking and high food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership and cooking skills; able to navigate iPad and adapt ingredients.
• Physical ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work 6 days/70+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operations, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking execution.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health department standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting and budgeting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
