Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities across the US.

This on-site, live-in position oversees all prep and production for designated day parts, manages staff, and maintains allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

The contract is seasonal (May–Sept) with a minimum 6-day, 70-hour week, bonus opportunities, and full room and board for the duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking skills, and comfort with iPad-based controls.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to live on-site at a rustic summer camp.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Oversee prep, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergen protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Track inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
