Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for an on-site, seasonal role at rural summer camp facilities across the United States. You will oversee all daily prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

This live-in position requires leadership, strong cooking skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume kitchen with a 6-day/70-hour week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• Certifications: ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities; able to navigate iPad.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and live on-site.
• Willing to work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week in rustic camp setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, and timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
