Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a busy, on-site summer camp operation. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This seasonal contract runs May through September, with a 6-day/70-hour weekly schedule and live-in accommodations. You will partner with camp leadership to deliver scratch-made meals while maintaining nutrition,

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, sharp problem-solving abilities.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on-site in rustic setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and train kitchen staff for a high-energy environment.
Oversee prep, production, portion control, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
Maintain allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
