Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camp operations.

You will oversee prep and production, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety while delivering scratch cooking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This seasonal contract runs May through Sept with room and board included, and opportunities to lead a dynamic camp kitchen team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and ability to navigate an I-Pad for operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary flow: portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and Heath Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting and budgeting.
