Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety standards.

This on-site, live-in position requires energy, experience in scratch and institutional cooking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume camp kitchen during May–Sept.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee prep, production for designated day part, and meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
