Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a live-in, on-site role at a rustic summer camp. You will lead daily culinary operations, manage staff, oversee budgeting, and ensure allergen safety across high-volume service.

This seasonal contract runs May through Sept, requiring a minimum 6-day/70-hour week, with competitive pay, bonus potential, and full room and board for the contract duration. Join a vibrant camp community.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens knowledge required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to live on-site in rustic setting; willing to work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.
• Physical ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and uphold Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Serve as the main liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
