Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a fast-paced summer camp. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and strict allergen safety protocols in a live-in, on-site setting.

This seasonal contract runs May through September at rural camp facilities. The role requires minimum 6 days/70 hours per week and offers competitive pay, a bonus, and full room & board.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial kitchen leadership with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, high computer literacy, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot/cold kitchen settings.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary operations: flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and meal service.
• Manage allergen safety and health sanitation standards.
• Administer inventory, purchasing, budgeting, and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
