Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a live-on-site role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for a designated day part, manage staff, and enforce strict allergen safety protocols in a fast-paced kitchen.

The position requires a minimum 6-day, 70-hour work week, on-site living, and a chance to lead a dynamic team across multiple facilities. ServSafe Allergens certification is required before start date.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
