Job summary

Wolfoods, a camp dining provider, seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at our rural summer camp sites. This hands-on role oversees prep, production, and allergen safety while managing staff and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

You must be ready to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding minimum 6‑day/70‑hour week, with competitive pay, a performance bonus, and full room & board for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, allergen identification, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part and ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitary standards per Health Department guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
