Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at on-site, rural summer camps across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for a day part, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

The position requires a minimum 2+ years in kitchen leadership, ServSafe Allergens certification, and willingness to live on-site for the seasonal contract (May–Sept).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, and adept with I-Pad.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health department sanitation standards.
• Maintain inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
