Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8-13 students and shaping a family-like environment to support academics, emotions, and social growth.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, and devotions; driving to activities; budgeting and reporting; and ensuring student wellness.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to safety: smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan development/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompanying Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
