Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for about 8-13 students, with responsibilities spanning supervision, scheduling, wellness, activities, devotions, and budgeting.

The role starts with nine days on, three days off, and progresses to a placed houseparent living with the same group.

Formación

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students living in on-campus homes
• Manage household routines and student schedules
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness
• Drive students to activities and actively engage in development and recreational activities
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting
• Support various student homes on schedule; transition to a placed houseparent role
