Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus homes, supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, and help create a family-like, supportive environment that fosters academic, emotional, and social growth.

The position follows a nine-on / three-off schedule, with daily duties including meals, devotions, and transport to activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
