Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents living on campus and guiding a group of 8–13 students. You will provide daily supervision, structure, and care to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

The two-person role requires a strong commitment to youth development, with duties including house management, budgeting, and coordinating activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couples role; married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support multiple student homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle; progress to a placed houseparent with a stable home group.
