Wolfoods seeks an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at rural summer camps. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

The position is on-site and live-in, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week; you will ensure high-quality scratch cooking, strict allergen controls, and effective team leadership while coordinating with Wolfoods corporate office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens knowledge required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, excellent communication, budgeting ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Stand for long periods; work in hot/cold kitchen environments; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Live on-site in rustic setting; 6-day, 70-hour week; thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and meal service.
• Enforce allergen and safety protocols; maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Oversee inventory, food orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen staff, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods corporate office.
