Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead designated day-part prep and production at our rural summer camps. This on-site role combines hands-on culinary leadership with allergen safety and operational oversight to deliver scratch-cooked meals in a high-volume setting.

You will manage staff, ensure menu specs and portion control, and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards while thriving in a fast-paced seasonal environment requiring a 6-day/70-hour week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary operations: flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
