Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in contract runs May through September with a competitive seasonal pay, a bonus structure, and full room and board. Travel allowance is provided to support the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and cooking skills; able to navigate an iPad.
• Versatile with ingredients and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and endure 6 days/70 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts; ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
