Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp operations. This on-site, live-in position oversees day-part prep and production, staff coaching, and allergen safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You’ll manage inventory, ensure scratch cooking standards, coordinate with camp leadership, and maintain rigorous sanitation while thriving under a demanding 6-day, 70-hour week during May–Sept.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen protocols and health department sanitation standards maintenance.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
