Job summary

M & M Production USA is seeking a highly technical Technical Sales Manager to bridge engineering, custom technology solutions, and live event sales. You will translate client visions into safe, actionable designs, create show layouts, and train the sales team on evolving event technologies and rigging safety.

The role includes leading technical cultivation of enterprise leads, supporting pitches, drafting CAD layouts and rigging plots, and developing data-driven purchasing and internal software

Qualifications

• 5+ years in live event production or related fields.
• Experience in technical sales, estimating, project management, or client-facing roles.
• Proficiency with Vectorworks Spotlight or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Flex Rental Solutions preferred.
• Knowledge of rigging practices and safety standards.
• ETCP certification is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with AI tools, scripting or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and nurture high-potential leads and enterprise accounts; act as technical lead in early-stage discovery calls.
• Support pitches and site walkthroughs; translate rigging, AV, and software into compelling presentations.
• Create 2D/3D production layouts, renderings, floor plans, and staging designs using CAD.
• Draft seating diagrams ensuring code compliance (ADA, egress) and optimal sight lines.
• Draft rigging plots with loads, bridle configurations, and venue constraints.
• Oversee rigging approval with venues, engineers, and management for safety compliance.
• Analyze data to inform purchasing; present ROI for capital expenditures.
• Develop internal software tools to streamline quoting and data bridging.
