Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Stagehand for the Schottenstein Center to support events and general operations during occasional, intermittent shifts. You will follow directions from staff and contribute to a safe, collaborative team environment in a dynamic venue setting.

Responsibilities include box pushing, installing carpentry and props, setting up lighting and audio equipment, and operating rigging as needed. Experience with show production tools and physical readiness is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience handling show production equipment and using hand tools.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely, work at height from ladders and personnel lifts and be able to reach, climb and kneel.

Responsibilities

• General labor including box pushing (70%).
• Installing carpentry, staging, and props (15%).
• Installing video, sound, and entertainment lighting equipment (15%).
• Rigging installation/operation (based on experience).
• Driving a forklift (based on experience).
• Truck loading/unloading (based on experience).
