Job summary

TikTok is seeking a growth-focused leader for the LIVE SMB community team in the Los Angeles area. This role builds and runs industry communities for creators and merchants across markets, driving acquisition, engagement, and conversion through live streaming and tools.

You will design content rhythms, webinars, and offline events; collaborate with product and data teams; and develop a funnel-based metric system to demonstrate incremental impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above; 3+ years in community, user, growth, or creator operations.
• Data-driven: build a metric system, analyze data, and validate operations with experiments.
• Strong content and program design skills for cadence, interactions, webinars, and events.
• Strong cross‑functional and project management skills coordinating product, content, and data stakeholders.
• Working proficiency in English to collaborate with overseas teams, merchants, and creators.
• Genuine interest in live streaming, e-commerce, the creator economy, or local services.

Responsibilities

• Acquisition: Build an acquisition mix across product entries, CRM outreach, offline events, and direct invites; design join hooks and a starter pack; manage join rate and CAC by channel.
• Engagement: Design and run a weekly content rhythm and interaction mechanics to turn passive members into active participants with moderation.
• Conversion: Convert engagement into real business actions through a tiered growth and incentive system.
• Webinars & education: Run tiered, invite-only webinars and a progressive education track guiding learners to goal-oriented outcomes.
• Offline events: Organize meetups and regional networking to grow merchants and bring cases back online.
• Data & attribution: Build a funnel-based metric system and use controlled experiments to prove incremental contribution.
• Advocacy: Create contributor roles, capture success stories, and shift the community to a self-sustaining model.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with product, data, and other teams to integrate capabilities into the merchant journey.
