Job Description

This role involves investigating complex, represented claims, primarily uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi-car accidents, and moderate to major claims. The individual may also handle complex CPL claims or specialized claims such as business interruption, loss of income, or E&O policies. Responsibilities include taking recorded statements, resolving loss of use claims, making payments, and negotiating or referring bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. The Customer Service Expert: Demonstrate care, empowerment, and restoration by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each claim, leading with empathy.
  2. The Investigator: Independently investigate claims by reviewing damages and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  3. The Effective Communicator: Use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process, respecting their communication preferences.
  4. The Negotiator: Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, and third-party carriers, employing appropriate tactics for challenging situations.
  5. The Problem Solver: Utilize tools and critical thinking skills to efficiently handle claims in a fast-paced environment.
  6. The Recorder: Ensure accurate documentation and policy execution to protect the company's financial interests.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of 3rd Party Bodily Injury claims handling experience.
  • 2-5 years of GA claims experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with effective time management.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and liability.
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with claims evaluation tools and platforms.
Remote Work Details

This is a permanent remote, home-based role within the United States, excluding California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Requirements include a dedicated workspace, minimum internet bandwidth (50 MB down/5 MB up), and appropriate work setup. Allstate provides necessary equipment and connectivity reimbursement ($80/month).

Licensing and Benefits

Some roles may require obtaining an adjuster or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, with support from the company. Additional Information
