Job Description

This role involves investigating complex, represented claims, including uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi-car accidents, and moderate to major claims. The individual may also handle complex CPL claims or specialized claims (e.g., business interruption, loss of income, E&O policies). Responsibilities include taking recorded statements, resolving loss of use claims, making payments, and negotiating and settling or referring bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. The Customer Service Expert: Demonstrate care, empowerment, and restoration by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each Casualty claim, leading with empathy.
  2. The Investigator: Independently investigate casualty claims by reviewing damages and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  3. The Effective Communicator: Use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process, respecting their communication preferences.
  4. The Negotiator: Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, using appropriate tactics for challenging situations.
  5. The Problem Solver: Utilize tools like estimate platforms and settlement systems efficiently, applying critical thinking skills.
  6. The Recorder: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of each claim in the claims system, protecting the company's financial interests.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of 3rd Party Bodily Injury claims handling experience.
  • 2-5 years of GA claims experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time effectively.
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability.
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of claims evaluation tools and platforms.
Remote Work Details

This is a permanent remote, home-based role within the United States, excluding California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Requirements include a dedicated home office, internet bandwidth of at least 50 MB down/5 MB up, and appropriate work setup.

Licensing and Bonuses

Depending on the role, obtaining an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days may be required. A $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus may be available for active licenses.

Additional Information
