Job summary

Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser, P.C. in Indianapolis seeks a Legal Assistant to support attorneys on a fast-paced federal court litigation team. The role focuses on drafting pleadings and discovery, managing documents in i-Manage, and coordinating deadlines and meetings.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent, strong Microsoft Office skills, and attention to detail. Prior law firm experience and familiarity with legal terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent plus strong MS Office proficiency.
• Experience in a law firm or legal department preferred.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and document management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drafts of legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, orders, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Edit and work with PDF documents.
• File documents in federal and state courts and mail documents when needed.
