Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises, a Black & Veatch Company, invites applications for a Lineman Helper role supporting the installation and repair of cables and wires in electrical distribution systems. You may assist with poles, towers, and related equipment following plans, specs, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, supporting installation and testing of systems, climbing poles, and transporting materials to job sites.

Qualifications

• 4000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprentice program participation.
• Working knowledge of the lineman craft.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, install, test or repair cables or wires.
• Help install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb poles or use bucket access equipment to reach equipment.
• Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on the job.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to supervisors.
