Qualifications

• 6000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprentice program participation.
• Developing knowledge of installation or repair of cables or wires used in power or distribution systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, install, test or repair cables or wires per plans.
• Install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb poles or use buckets to access equipment.
• Drive vehicles to job sites and travel to inspect lines for insulation and clearance.
• Identify defective components using diagrams and testing instruments.
• Lay underground cable through trenches or conduits.
