Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises seeks a lineman helper to assist with installation or repair of cables for electrical power and distribution systems. You may erect poles and transmission towers and travel to job sites with a safety-conscious team.

The role requires NCCER credentials (Construction Craft Laborer, Core Curriculum) and a minimum of 7,000 documented hours in a lineman apprenticeship program. A strong adherence to safety rules is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprentice program participation.
• Working knowledge of the lineman craft and installation/repair of cables or wires.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have all necessary tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing or repairing cables or wires per plans and specs.
• Help install, maintain and inspect electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment and travel to job sites as needed.
• Follow safety rules, participate in pre-job planning, and report hazards to supervisors.
